With a First Class Master's in Earth Sciences from University of Oxford I combine academic depth with clear, practical, and evidence based teaching developed over 7 years of tutoring. I'm currently completing my PGCE in Secondary Science Teaching specialising in Chemistry bringing me an in depth knowledge of the exam specifications and marking as well as familiarity with evidence backed science teaching. I focus on working with students to identify misconceptions and build both understanding and confidence, which I combine with my passion for science to make engaging lessons. Fo me, nothing beats seeing students begin to believe in their own ability to understand science! Outside of tutoring, I enjoy being active, I compete nationally with my cheerleading team and am currently training for a marathon.
My favourite thing about science is how it links to the world around us. I use real life examples combined with an up to date knowledge of exam specifications and marking to reach help students reach those top grades.
Students often struggle with making leaps in content during the step from KS3 to GCSE. I identify the gaps and help them make the leap while building confidence in their own ability.

That I'm a competitive cheerleader
One student never imagined she would be able to sit the higher tier science paper at GCSE. We worked on the content, exam technique, and self-belief and she not only sat the higher tier paper but smashed her target grade in the process!
Studia’s live classes are expert-led, small-group sessions that combine the structure of tutoring with the energy of a classroom, without leaving home.
Helps child build sustainable learning habits.
Students aren’t passive listeners. They ask questions, solve problems live, and engage with peers.
